    A new branch of the Mens Shed initiative has opened in Acle and will be hosting an open day on 22nd July.  This is an excellent opportunity to make friends, share knowledge and generally reduce isolation in the area, please attend if you can.

  • Can you help The Mardler?

    Our village newsletter is a lifeline of information, events and contacts, but recently volunteers have moved away and left significant gaps that need filling! 
    Do you have the time to help with the following vacancies?  If so, please call Mundy  on 01603 270539 to discuss further.

                                Treasurer – around 36 hours a year

    • Responsible for ensuring all income and outgoings are accurately recorded
    • Banking
    • Cashflow forecasting
    • Preparation of annual accounts

    Advertising – around 30 hours a year

    • Informing the editor of advertisements to be included in an issue
    • Collecting advertiser payments
    • Identifying and bringing on board new advertisers
           Distribution in South Walsham – around 3 hours per issue x 11 issues
    • Distributing the correct number of copies of the Mardler to the deliverers in the South Walsham area and to the Upton distributor
    • Maintaining a spreadsheet (already set-up), detailing all subscribers in the area, and ensuring it tallies with each of the deliverer’s rounds.
    • Gathering all monies from deliverers, ensuring all subscriptions are collected and forwarded to the treasurer.

    We’re welcoming families to come along and see what Tots2Teens has to offer and we’d love your help sharing the details with your community.  We have attached a poster for you print out and share – if you are unable to print a copy please email Kate who is copied in to this email.

  • Coronavirus Update

    In light of the outbreak of Coronavirus and current guidelines, the Parish Council have decided to adjourn the Annual Parish Meetings in April, together with the upcoming meeting in May.

    We will publish the next meeting date as soon as guidance permits.

    In the meantime, please see support from your local communities, call NHS Direct on 111 if you think you may be exhibiting symptoms or visit www.gov.uk for advice.

    There are local support groups springing up across Facebook if anyone urgently needs groceries or other assistance.

  • Ranworth village hall
